Apologia Exploring Creation with General Science
A Reasonable Faith: The Scientific Case for Christianity
4+ hours per week
General Science is a foundational survey course covering the history of science, the scientific method, and origins while touching on areas of life science, physical science, applied science, and technology. Class time will be spent primarily doing lab experiments and discussing the week’s assignments. Lab experiences are designed to enhance the students understanding of material being studied. Written lab reports will help the student apply the scientific method to their own research. In addition, organ dissection will be an important component of our study of life science. We will be using Apologia’s Exploring Creation with General Science supplemented with additional resources, reading (A Reasonable Faith, by Dr. Wile), and hands on experiences. The year will culminate with a science fair type project of the students choosing.
